DIG Local is a volunteer, grassroots effort between farmers and
consumers located in Northwest Ohio.
Simply stated, our goal is to get more people to buy food directly from farmers. Right now, less than 19% of the money you spend on food goes to the farmer.
We do this through the support of local farmer’s markets, CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) subscriptions, and education.
Buying food directly from farmers allows us to support a wide range of initiatives: our local economy, sustainable agriculture, community- based food initiatives as well as the men and women who grow our food.
