Riehm Farms Offers Custom Grown Food for Region
Community Supported Agriculture comes to Seneca/Sandusky region of Ohio
Riehm Farms has decided to provide custom grown food for consumers in Seneca and Sandusky Counties in Northwest Ohio. On Monday, April 28th at 7:00 pm a meeting will be held at the Tiffin Seneca Library. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA's) programs have been around the United States since the early 70's.
CSA's represent a relationship between farmers and local consumers who feel that fresh grown produce is a contributing factor to eating well and staying healthy. Consumers subscribe to a farm CSA program early in the year, and receive a weekly delivery of produce grown by the farmer. Supporting the local economy in exchange for produce with a high nutrition content are only two of the benefits of CSA's, and part of the reason for their popularity among cost-conscious food shoppers.
John and Diane Riehm will be holding a community information meeting for anyone in the region interested in learning more about the seasonal fruits and vegetables available this season here in NW Ohio.
The meeting will be held Monday April 28th.
Riehm Farms is a fourth generation farm located on Route 53 at the Seneca/Sandusky County line, providing fun, food and education for the community for 99 years. For more information see: www.funacres.net
