Grassroot's Group Bring Community Supported Agriculture to North West Ohio
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio December 1, 2007. A grassroots effort is underway to increase the number of farmers and regional consumers involved in Community Support Agriculture (CSA) in Northwest Ohio.
On Sunday, December 16th a fourth generation farm family, in partnership with consumer subscribers will be presenting a CSA session for farms interested in starting a CSA program at their farm.
The meeting will be held at the 577 Foundation on 577 E. Front Street, Perrysburg Ohio from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The goal is to provide farmers new to Community Supported Agriculture with the tools they need to implement CSA. Community Supported Agriculture keeps more of the region's food dollars in the local community, supports family farms, and provides high-quality, locally grown food.
